Enlightenment while on your own in nature appears to become the typical thread throughout almost every major religion around the world.

For example, Jesus invested forty days and forty nights alone in the wilderness and at the end spoke with angels. Buddha sat alone for forty-nine days beneath the Bhodi tree and became enlightened. And Moses went towards the top of a mountain for forty days and 40 nights and spoke with God.

By nature I'm not personally much into religions as I think all of us have our authentic nature inside, however following investing numerous time alone in the wilderness I know there's an additional means of being that feels much like the 'enlightenment' religions speak of.

For instance after around two days by your self on your own in nature without the distractions of contemporary existence it appears that time tends to naturally decelerate. Why this really is so I do not know but to me it feels like the existing moment appears to get lengthier and lengthier and also the present view of actuality starts to decelerate.

Frequently within this state in nature it is as though my ideas quit completely. Buddhists call this state no-mind however alone in nature it's not like you should try and meditate. This state occurs naturally and often I will discover myself staring at say a spider spinning a web for what seems to be hours. Viewing the way it moves it's legs against the web. The slight breeze distorting the web as it blows back and forth. Second by second being with the spider creating it is fragile web. As if time stands still.

I also notice that when I'm immersed in nature for 3-4 days that my sense of self tends to normally dissolve. Once more it isn't like I need to 'try' to achieve this state of consciousness. Without distractions, the part that sees me as separate from everything else is just not present anymore. It dissolves.

I have also experienced many times not only the sense of my 'self' dissolving whilst on my own in nature but my consciousness expanding outwards to contain every thing at the same time. For instance I was once on my own on a deserted seaside and felt what it was like to be a lizard, a bird and a fish (and many other objects) all at the same time. What it was like to really feel my metabolism quicken against my scales because the sun beat down. How it felt to have air pushing against my feathers as I glided along the wind. And the sensation of water pushing through my gills as I swam within the ocean. Featured Sponsors Netpardon.com online reputation management
