Religious connection with nature is among the most profound experiences we can have as human beings. Beyond the normal consciousness in which we reside there's another spiritual dimension beyond the world which we know.
Indigenous societies had been highly connected to and in tune with these spiritual worlds. They had elders and shaman's whose primary function was to be the connection in between the physical reality of daily existence and also the spirit world on the other side.
Even though the times of residing on the land and becoming at one with nature in a tribal sense have nearly become non-existent, it's nonetheless feasible for anyone to tap into this other realm with the correct coaching and period of time.
Essentially it's about investing time on your own by yourself in nature with out distractions for an extended time period. The typical amount of time it requires most people to tap in to the wonder and mystery of nature is around 3-4 days. This enables time and room for the continuous chatter with the thoughts to naturally decelerate and then to naturally feel into another way of being.
Beyond our normal daily life there is another view of life. A view of life full of symbols, imagination, interpretation, dreams, feeling of oneness, connection and a language beyond phrases. In this view everything is alive and has it's own spirit. The trees talk. The rivers speak. The birds carry messages. The animals whisper truths. We are able to feel into the wonder and mystery of nature.
Nevertheless, this religious connection is subtle. It is drowned out by the continuous chatter of the rational head. The rational head is loud and appears to always be constantly on. From the moment we wake up (... 'What will I have for breakfast?') until we visit sleep (... 'It's really late - I do not want to be tired tomorrow!'). This voice within our head is continually on and drowns out the subtle spiritual view past the one you know.
One simple exercise to stop this distracting voice within your head is to firstly become aware of it. It might be saying at this time 'What small voice? I don't have a little voice!' Great, that is the small voice.
Just make sure you become conscious of that little voice. Be aware of the tone. Become aware of the speed. Be aware of it's tempo. Be aware of what it's stating to you.
Next, deal with the voice within your head like a little child and just say 'Thank you for sharing.' Featured Sponsors Netpardon.com online reputation management
