The kettlebell (or girya in Russian) is a round cast iron weight which resembles a cannonball with a handgrip. It's inbuilt in Russian history as the most dominant object for making boys into men.

K-bell training was the key to the training method that professional Russian coaches used to turn their athletes, wrestlers and weightlifters into the best of the best of that age.

Kettlebells were also used in the Red Army to adjust the Russian military personne for the nasty reality that was the battlefield. Each Russian military unit had a gym accoutered with kettlebells the reason being that k-bells build strength, endurance and pain resistance - three components necessary for any enlisted person.

After witnessing the excellent impact k-bell training had on Russian athletes, wrestlers and weightlifters, kettlebells obtained recognition in the USA too, where they created some of the most powerful bodybuilders of that age.

What makes k-bells more productive than dumbbells is the displaced center of weight of the K-bell which ads extra ROM (range of movement) to the exercise resulting in exceeding time under tension for the muscles and thus resulting in larger hypertrophy in muscle mass and strength.

The displaced center of gravity of the kettlebell further facilitates ballistic and swinging motions which add to the development of great explosive power.

The k-bell's weight is calculated in poods, an old Russian measure. One pood equals 16 kg/35 lbs.

There exist 1, 1.5 and 2 pood k-bells. They are 16 kg/35 lbs, 24 kg/53 lbs and 32 kg/70 lbs respectively.

The big bonus of the k-bell is in the unique exercises that it lets you execute and their awesome impact on your body's muscles and joints.

The kettlebell swing will grant you hams and glutes of steel, it'll help you burn fat very quickly and will shape your butt perfectly, it will strengthen your back and abs - your core, and it will even improve your posture!

The k-bell press is without a doubt the finest exercise for building the solid, capable and unfaltering torso that you want. Your shoulders will become flexible and resilient. The press will also empower your abs and obliques.

The kettlebell get-up is broadly used by physical therapists because it's super effective in recovering injured shoulders.

K-bell training has a huge carryover to other sports and virtually any physical activities. That's why it's the favored method of MMA fighters and other matrial artists, arm wrestlers and many more.

Last but not least, you get to save a lot of money from expensive gym membership fees and fancy fitness equipment. Featured Sponsors Netpardon.com online reputation management
